Tourism Tisá

The village of Tisá is located in the beautiful landscape of the Elbe Sandstones on the western edge of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, at an altitude of 560 meters above sea level, and has around 1,000 permanent residents.

It is an important recreational and tourist center of the area. The peaceful and picturesque surroundings of the Tisá Rocks, nearby forests and ponds provide opportunities for an active holiday for rock climbers, lovers of hiking and walks, as well as cyclists.

In the summer season, visitors can take advantage of many marked hiking trails and an educational trail that runs through the Tisá Rocks, as well as marked cycling routes. The Tisá Rocks, along with nearby climbing areas in Rájec and Ostrov, as well as the cliffs in nearby Bielatal and the Elbe Valley, are a true paradise for climbers. Swimming is possible in the natural surroundings of nearby ponds or at public swimming facilities in the area – thermal pools in Děčín and Ústí nad Labem, or public outdoor pools in the Saxon towns of Cunnersdorf or Berggießhübel.

You can also go on trips to other interesting places within the Bohemian Switzerland National Park – Sněžník, Hřensko (with the Kamenice River gorges), Pravčická Gate, Jetřichovice, the Elbe Valley (boat trips), and on the Saxon side: Königstein Fortress, the spa towns of Bad Gottleuba or Bad Schandau.

You can also visit nearby sights – monuments commemorating the Napoleonic Wars near Chlumec and Přestanov, Děčín Castle, Střekov Castle, or some of the nearby towns – the spa town of Teplice, Děčín, or Ústí nad Labem.

The capital city of Prague or the historic city of Dresden are just an hour’s drive away.

In Tisá, you can also enjoy an active winter holiday – cross-country ski trails are usually groomed and offer up to 30 km of tracks with minimal elevation gain. There is a 500-meter-long ski lift with artificial lighting available for less demanding skiers. Winter walks through the snowy landscape of the Tisá Rocks or a trip to Sněžník are also beautiful experiences.

The ski resort Telnice is located just 12 km away.
